Questions
- He hates the toothbrush. Will he let me do this?
- Most dogs accept a soft finger far more easily than bristles. Start with three front teeth, praise him, and stop while he's calm.
- Will he bite my finger?
- You only wipe the outside of the teeth, so his mouth can stay mostly closed. Lift his lip with your thumb and reach the back teeth from the cheek side.
- Will it fit my finger, and his small mouth?
- It's sized for one finger: most people use the index finger, and larger hands can use the pinky or ring finger. For tiny mouths, use your pinky and start with the front and side teeth.
- What does it taste or smell like?
- They're unscented, with no mint. Let him sniff and lick the wipe first so it feels familiar.
- Will the wipes dry out?
- Close the lid after every wipe and keep spare tubs sealed until you need them. If a tub arrives dry, our guarantee covers it.
- What's in them?
- The supplier label lists tea polyphenols and food-grade citric acid, unscented.
- How soon will his breath be fresher?
- Give him a week or two of daily wipes; every dog is different. If his breath stays bad or suddenly gets worse, check with your vet.
- Can I use them on my cat?
- Yes, they're made for cats and dogs. Go gently and use your pinky.
Why we say this
Why a daily wipe?
Vets call daily home care between checkups the part that matters most. Daily brushing is best (AVMA).
If he won't take a brush, veterinary dentists list single-use wipes, rubbed daily on the outside of the teeth, as a home-care option (AVDC). Any regular routine beats none (VOHC).
